CM orders projects feasibility completion

PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Mahmood Khan has ordered steps for timely completion of feasibility and other pre-requisites of the projects to be proposed for inclusion in Public Sector Development Programme 2022-23.
He said this while chairing a meeting, said a handout. Minister for Local Government Akbar Ayub Khan and other officials attended the meeting.
The chief minister directed the officials that megaprojects of public importance should be identified for inclusion in the next PSDP.
He asked the officials to focus on projects for development of the command area of completed dams, Peshawar - DI Khan Motorway, dualization of the road from Indus Highway to Bannu city, construction of road from Madyan to Kalam, Kalam- Kumrat road and other projects.

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Local Government Akbar Ayub Khan on Saturday said the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) would soon announce the schedule for local body elections in the province.
“The ECP has issued notification for the appointment of district returning officers (DROs), returning officers and presiding officers for 34 districts of the province. However, the delimitation process for Peshawar would be completed by July 8 after which DROs and the rest of the election staff will be notified,” he added. The minister said the ECP has not notified the election staff so the local body polls could be delayed due to incomplete delimitation in other provinces.

MANSEHRA: Provincial minister for Local Government Akbar Ayub Khan has performed the groundbreaking of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor interchange to Karakoram Highway road with Rs690 million funds here on Saturday.
“The provincial government has been promoting tourism in the Hazara and Malakand divisions and this artery would link Hazara Expressway with Karakoram Highway and then with Mansehra-Naran-Jalkhad road,” Akbar Ayub Khan told the groundbreaking ceremony held here.
Special Advisor to Chief Minister on Communication and Works Department Riaz Khan and Deputy Commissioner Dr Qasim Ali Khan were also present on the occasion.
