Guyana is concerned about Exxonâs gas compressor issues
GEORGETOWN, Guyanaâ The government of Guyana has expressed concern about ExxonMobilâs unresolved issues concerning its gas compressor, leading to a reduction in daily production by 90,000 barrels.
In a statement late Wednesday, the Ministry of Natural Resources said the government is âhighly disappointed with the operatorâs inability to resolve the situation to date and will continue to monitor the levels of daily cruise oil output and flaring to best allow for an economically feasible level of production during this period.â
However, the statement noted that the crude oil lift had not been affected, and an oil lift was completed earlier this week, in keeping with the crude oil lifting agreement.
