raffensperger and gabriel sterling. hi, this is great to be here, it s like the academy awards for elections officials and like i have the oscar winners here. as we ve discussed it s been an extraordinary two years, not just talking about the aftermath of the 2020 election and the attack on the capitol, but in 2020 you all were preparing to conduct an election in the middle of a once in a century pandemic. and i want to take us back a little bit to that and what you all did to prepare for 2020 and how it went. just a few minutes. well, i ll start off, first of all, you have to understand that when i took office in january, 2019, we had passed we passed a bill that allowed us to get new voting machines and then there was a mad dash to get those in place, all 159 counties, 2500 precincts, get that all in place before the presidential primary. and we did.
