Hear tunes from folk artist Joe Sam at rural Vacaville benefit
VACAVILLE Joseph Samaniego, who locals know as Joe Sam, is pitching in his musical talents May 22 for an event that will feature art created from the burned farm and rural properties after the LNU Lightning Complex Fire.
The musician, who teaches at the Mission Music Academy, hails from Southern California where he picked up the guitar when he was about 12, playing music by ear.
Art benefit set to raise money for farms affected by massive LNU fire
PLEASANTS VALLEY Artists from around the Bay Area came out to the burned farms and properties in rural Vacaville last fall to document in their illustrations, paintings and photographs the rebirth of the area after the destructive LNU Lightning Complex Fire.
The art created from this project will be on display – and for sale – May 22 at Joyful Ranch.
Live folk music will be performed by local musician Joe Sam, and live jazz music will be performed by the Live Music Center.
The public is encouraged to bring a picnic to enjoy the wildflowers, woodlands and orchard setting at the historic Joyful Ranch.
