TAUNTON  It s very difficult to keep a restaurant open. I mean, we basically just keep it open for the employees, more or less, said Taunton City Council President and Liberty and Union Ale House owner Chris Coute. 
The restaurant is one of 24 Taunton-area small businesses that will receive a total of over $1 million in grant money to help them stay afloat while the state maintains COVID-19 restrictions on businesses. The money comes from the state s COVID-19 Small Business Grant Program. 
These businesses, located in Taunton, Dighton and Raynham, include restaurants, preschools, salons and other types of small businesses. Most of the businesses received between $25,000 and $75,000 in grant money.  ....
