鄂尔多斯能源资源富集，可供开发的太阳能、风能均在千万千瓦以上，是我国重要的清洁能源输出基地、煤电基地和现代煤化工基地。
圣圆能源集团伊政新能源有限公司副总经理刘伟介绍，伊金霍洛旗天骄绿能50万千瓦采煤沉陷区生态治理光伏发电示范项目拟在生态修复治理采煤沉陷区的基础上，将光伏组件采取支架加高布置于地面上方，下层用于农林业种植、水产养殖，上层用于太阳能发电，配套发展农业观光、特色果蔬等产业，将采煤沉陷区转变为“智能光伏田园综合体”。
“这里原来是采煤沉陷区，自然条件十分恶劣。”刘伟告诉记者，希望通过该项目，在修复生态的同时，发展新能源产业、生态农业，将这里改造成绿色、经济的生态家园。目前项目进展顺利，计划今年6月底实现并网发电，预计年发电量可达10亿千瓦时。
