HARTFORD — Ready for an outdoor hiking adventure? Go on your own, grab a friend, or bring your leashed four-legged companion along for the 2024 Sky’s The Limit (STL) Hiking
Take a #hike in #Connecticut @CTDEEPNews participants who hike or walk 15 of the 20 trails receive a “Sky’s the Limit” hiking staff medallion. For hiking all 20 locations, 50 participants will receive a hand-carved hiking staff made by the DEEP Sawmill; names of all who complete the 20 designated hikes will be randomly drawn.

Fourteen Connecticut state parks are hosting First Day Hikes events on Jan. 1, 2022. They range from simple nature walks to a dog costume contest and a scavenger hunt. First Day Hikes is part of a national initiative run by National Association of State Park Directors.
