From the beginning, the screen opens up into this glorious cinemascope and it is an explosion of colour and there is this fabulous dance sequence which reminds you of fame. Then the story occupies a space between, on the one hand, then the style jar of woody allen, and the free form felicity of gravity. There is a sequence where we go flying with the cameras. The performances were brilliant. Emma store dominates that. She has to play at acting to be an actor and she does it brilliantly. Emma stone. It was well choreographed and i love the lyrics. They are now fred and ginger but they are not meant to be. They had the magic but they also have the feet underground and it has the texture of real life. I thought it was charming.
