Deadly shooting shortly after midnight in colorado where police say a gunman shot and killed six people at a Birthday Party before taking his own life. I want to get right to cnns paul. This is just awful. Reporter it is horrifying. As you said, jim, a Birthday Party, colorado springs, the call comes out around 12 18 this morning. Police respond. They find six victims and inside and a male still alive at that point. He is presumed to be the shooter. The bodies were inside and they also said that there were children at this Birthday Party, but none of them were hit by the shooters gunfire. They believe he just drove to the Mobile Home Park and walked inside and opened fire. The children have been reunited with family members. The gunman was transported, the alleged gunman to a local hospital where he died of his injuries. And police do not have any motive right now in this case. The community in mourning.
