People without a state-issued ID can now get a community ID card through Legal Aid Service of Broward County. The ID is especially useful for formerly incarcerated people, foster youth, transgender people, homeless people, new immigrants, refugees, or anyone who may have difficulty getting a government-issued ID,
At its Aug. 24 meeting, the Broward County Commission will vote on funding for a community ID program. Legal Aid Services of Broward County, which will play a large role in administering the program, urges the commission to vote yes.
