Lee County Deputy Jacob Cook was presented the Piedmont Columbus Regional Public Safety First Friday Hero award for saving a toddler s life on September 25. The mother, LaTonya Jones, and her baby girl, Alyra “Sunshine” McDaniel, were in attendance to thank and honor Deputy Cook for his devotion on and off duty.
