Attorneys for Le’Keian Woods, involved in a violent encounter with Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office (JSO) officers, released a strong statement after Woods pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of Resisting an Officer Without Violence today.
A man who had his September arrest captured on video, which went viral and raised concerns about the use of force by the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, pleaded guilty to one misdemeanor charge stemming from that arrest Monday.
Garriga had drawn public attention before his arrest for his role in the 2019 shooting death of Jamee Johnson and the beating arrest of Le'Keian Woods.
