MARION COUNTY, S.C. (WMBF) â Officials say two people, including a Marion County deputy, were killed in a crash late Wednesday night.
The Marion County Sheriffâs Office later identified the fallen deputy as Jonathan David Price.
According to Master Trooper Brian Lee with the South Carolina Highway Patrol, a 2018 Dodge Charger on Jackson Road collided with a 2008 Mercury Grand Marquis traveling southbound on Maiden Down Road. The crash happened around 10:50 p.m., Lee added.

Jan. 7 A South Carolina deputy was killed in a crash days after another officer died responding to a call, officials say.
Jonathan David Price was on duty when he got into the deadly wreck, the Marion County Sheriff s Office said Thursday. He was 29 years old.
Price was married and a father of three young children, the sheriff s department said in a Facebook post. He worked for the Dillon Police Department before joining the Marion County Sheriff s Office in September.
