CDC lifts restrictions on fully vaccinated people; some Jacksonville restaurants take notice

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on Thursday updated COVID-19 recommendations to allow fully vaccinated people to be maskless in any setting, unless masks are required by federal or state rules or by businesses that people are entering.
The updated guidelines also say that fully vaccinated people don’t have to worry about social distancing.
Some restaurants in the Jacksonville area have taken notice to the change, including the Bearded Pig in San Marco. A sign at the restaurant reads in part: “We will now allow our fully vaccinated employees to have the option not to wear a mask while working.”
