The European Championships in three Olympic sailing classes will be held in Denmark in 2022 04/28/21 Champagne sailing in the summer of 2022 in Denmark. Aarhus has just been awarded the European Championships in 49er, 49erFX, and Nacra 17. Denmark was up against very strong sailing nations. The European Championships in Aarhus will be staged 5 - 10 July 2022. By July 2022, the largest sailing championship will be held in Aarhus since the Sailing World Championships in 2018. From 5 to 10 July, three of the classes will thus revisit Aarhus for the European Championships in 49s, 49erFX, and Nacra 17. - I am pleased that we once again succeeded in attracting one of the greatest sailing events to Denmark in three of the classes in which Denmark has a strong position. In Denmark, we rarely experience world-class sailing up close. This is of great importance for us to promote our sport. Denmark retains the hosting of The Union Europeenne de Cyclisme Congress 03/15/21 This past weekend, The Union Européenne de Cyclisme Congress, was supposed to take place in Odense, Fyn but Covid19 naturally put an end to this. The delegated cycling enthusiasts from all over Europe met virtually instead. Next year, Denmark retains the hosting. - I have had two site-inspections in Odense as preparation for the 2021 UEC-congress, and I have experienced the local host s strong dedication and effort in making things work even during the difficult circumstances the pandemic has given us. We would be very sorry to miss out on the opportunity of having our congress at the island of Fyn. Therefore we are pleased that we were able to make a new agreement on Fyn hosting the 2022-congress instead, says the newly elected UEC president, Enrico Della Casa. ....

After an intense competition between many highly qualified bids, the International Floorball Federation (IFF) has decided that the U19 Men’s World Championships in 2023 will be held in Frederikshavn, Denmark. Every journey, no matter the destination, must begin somewhere. For Floorball Denmark, the national federation for floorball in Denmark, the journey began with hosting the Men’s World Cup qualifiers in 2020. New dates for the BWF Thomas & Uber Cup in Denmark 12/21/20 The TOTAL BWF Thomas & Uber Cup is coming to Denmark in 2021, and the BWF has just announced the new dates for the major event. October 9-17, 2021, the world team championships for men’s teams and women’s teams will for the first time ever be held simultaneously in Europe. Though it was planned and replanned several times, 2020 wasn’t the year, that the TOTAL BWF Thomas & Uber Cup would come to Denmark. The good news, however, is that the Badminton World Federation, BWF, has just announced, that the championships are coming to Aarhus, Denmark October 9-17, 2021. ....
