the weekend and the warmer as well. it s not known how many of them contain the remains of children. the discovery comes just weeks after the remains of 215 children were found at the site of another former residential school in british columbia. indigenous leaders say it s likely many more unmarked graves will be discovered. charlotte lam reports. almost 800 unmarked graves undiscovered for decades, until ground penetrating radars unearthed the secrets of the burial ground. in 1960, there may have been marks on these graves. the catholic church representatives removed these headstones and today, they are unmarked graves. the discovery was made near the marieval indian residential school. it was built in 1889 by the catholic church and is one of more than 130 compulsory boarding schools in canada where children were taken after being separated from their parents as part of a policy of forced integration.
