winds and dry hot conditions. they are expecting it to grow again today. this is obviously a dangerous fire. we have no containment and we have extreme fire behavior. that fire behavior, they are facing dry conditions with low humidity and high temperatures. those temperatures reaching into the triple digits. overnight, it tripled in size and at last report supports scorched 24 square miles. that is half the size of the city of san francisco. it is burning on both sides of interstate 5. the only highway connecting oregon to california. truck drivers had to abandon 17 big rigs as those flames approached. four of those trucks were destroyed along with their loads. chp says agencies will meet to discuss if and when they can reopen interstate 5, a critical route for commercial truckers. we will continue to monitor this fire and keep you up dated on air and on our social media. thank you. you can see where the fire is burning as we show you this map. that is the fire icon
