The National Trust sparked a huge row when it published a report linking Chartwell – Winston Churchill’s home in Kent – with Britain’s colonial past. Now the Trust has decided to mark 2024 – 150 years since the birth of Churchill – with a photographic display showcasing his “most spectacular birthday cakes”.
