The competition at the Buffalo Bill Invitational was no match for the North Platte High boys as they won a majority of the events at their annual home meet.

The North Platte High boys’ track team defended their home turf in a big way on Thursday by winning the Buffalo Bill Invitational.
The Bulldogs won among three other teams with 197 points. Hastings and Scottsbluff tied for second with 130, while Gering had 61.
Since it was the first time in three years that North Platte’s home meet was held, Bulldog coach Mike McGuire said he was glad his team got to show their stuff in front of their friends and family.
“Last year, we didn’t have anything and two years ago, it was rained out so it was nice to be out here at our home facility and it was good to see the guys compete in front of their home crowd,” he said.
