unlikely for an armed robbery especially at 11:00 in the morning. across the street an emergency call box, a dorm filling up with students and in front of the house the university shuttle bus stop. the suspect knocked on the front door. when the students opened up they forced their way inside. one armed with a handgun. the other with a taser. they left with thousands in laptops, cell phones, cash and shoes. howard university sent an e-mail alert to all students informing them of the incident. word has not reached this freshman who arrived this afternoon. i feel secure having if police run around. there is always some way for me to get home safely. it gives me pause, makes me nervous. but i think all in all he ll be fine. reporter: this woman has lived in the neighborhood for years. she says someone knocked on her back door recently and ran off. the robbery just two doors down won t scare her away. it happens. you have to keep watch what you are doing. i m not going to
