in the past 30 minutes, 100 pepco customers had power restored. pepco is reporting 1,000 customers without electricity. almost all of them are in d.c. no word on how long it will take for crews to restore electricity to all customers. the storm left some drivers stuck in high water. the rain was so fast and furious police had to shut down some flooded roads. we even found firefighters pushing cars out of the water. one man came home from a softball game and found his entire apartment flooded. my neighbors have a sump pump. that s really all i can do at this point. i tried brushing is out to the drain but i mean it s literally like this the entire way through my apartment. if you look at these photos, these are flooded streets. this one is rhode island avenue in northwest. it was a similar scene along the dulless toll road before the spring hill exit in mcclain. yikes. scary, messy stuff out there yesterday. much calmer this morning. no real flooding concerns to worr
