TONGOD: Deputy Chief Minister I cum Agriculture, Fisheries and Food Industry Minister Datuk Seri Jeffrey Kitingan encourages any district that organises the Kaamatan Festival to identify plants that are on the verge of extinction in their respective areas.
PAITAN: The State Government has approved a proposal to upgrade Paitan and Sook sub-districts to full district status, said Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor.
TONGOD: The State Government on Saturday handed over a total of 421 native land titles to people from 15 villages in the Tongod district, involving a total area of 790.37 hectares (1,953.15 acres).
CHIEF Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor, who is also the Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) Chairman, slammed those who ridiculed the Sabah Maju Jaya (SMJ) Development Plan, including turning it into a political satire.
CHIEF Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor said the State Government is going ahead with its plan to table the Anti-Party Hopping Bill at the State Legislative Assembly (DUN) sitting expected to be held at the end of next month.
“We will bring or introduce this Bill during the DUN sitting. This Bill cannot be tabled now because the General Election will be held soon.
“But, the Bill would require support from the opposition because we need to have a two-thirds majority,” he said
