The San Antonio African American Community Archive and Museum is getting ready to start on the first phase of its $100 million project after purchasing the Kress-Grant Building in the heart of downtown on East Houston Street.
In 2026, the San Antonio African American Community Archive & Museum plans to move out of its current headquarters in La Villita, hoping to set up shop at the Kress-Grant Building at 311 East Houston St.
