Maui Bicycling League members and supporters are encouraged to volunteer for a bike giveaway for wildfire displaced residents, set for Saturday at Krank Cycles on Kupuohi St. in Lahaina.
A newly opened bicycle shop in Lahaina is giving away over 100 bicycles on a first-come, first-served basis to Maui residents who have been displaced by wildfires. Two events will be held to distribute the bicycles, on Saturday, April 20 and Saturday, April 27 at Krank Cycles’ Lahaina location.

After a recent fire severely damaged Makawao bicycle shop Krank Cycles, the shop, which focuses on community outreach, is on the road to recovery. Owner Aaron “Moose” Reichert said his flagship Makawao location nearly lost everything, but people in the community stepped in to help and he’s now opened a temporary location a couple doors down.
