Te Korowai o Papatūānuku Āwhitu Peninsula Project received almost $1.7 million from the One Billion Trees Fund, administered by Te Uru Rākau - Forestry New Zealand. Te Uru Rākau acting deputy director general Henry Weston says the aim is to restore native trees and biodiversity and improve waterways.
