Arkansas 4-H honored some of its best and brightest leaders June 7, inducting its newest member of the Arkansas 4-H Hall of Fame and announcing 54 new Teen Stars who are leaders in their clubs and communities.
Youth from four states met at Memphis, Tenn., recently for a culinary showdown at the Mid-South 4-H Food Pantry Competition. Their mission: to create a nutritious, delicious and economical entrée using food pantry staples in less than 45 minutes.
In communities with limited access to food or grocery stores, it can be difficult to create a nutritious meal on a tight budget. Arkansas teams tested this skill and emerged victorious at the Mid-South 4-H Food Pantry Competition Feb. 26 as part of the 2022 Mid-South Farm and Gin Show.
