Two people and multiple dogs died in a Dupont City housefire at 100 Holbrook Court early on Feb. 4, 2024, according to Belle Fire Chief David Armstrong. Fire departments from Belle, Malden and Cedar Grove along with Kanawha County Emergency Management responded to the scene on Holbrook Court near Rand.
