The overall site plan includes expanding public and staff parking, a barn and livestock pen for larger animals, a sled dog pen, and play and multipurpose yards.
Changes are coming to the Fairbanks North Star Animal Shelter’s operational hours starting Saturday, even as the shelter deals with an uptick in the number of animals it takes in.
