The Mega Millions website said not only did one ticket win the jackpot in Illinois, but 26 tickets nationwide matched the five white balls to win $1 million or more.
Someone beat the odds and won the $1.34 billion Mega Millions jackpot raised from $1.28 billion just hours before Friday night s drawing. The winning ticket was purchased at a Speedway on Touhy Avenue in Des Plaines, the Illinois lottery website said.
