LOFTY the Lion kicked off a primary school s health and fitness week. The Gates Primary in Westhoughton held their annual event to teach and encourage youngsters to lead a healthy and active lifestyle. Chadd Pearson from Lancashire Cricket Club led a session and children enjoyed a tennis lesson by Tom Luke from Lostock Tennis Club. Year Five and Six pupils completed their Bikeability with a little help from Special Olympian star Kiera Byland. Sonaash Bollywood dancers also came into school along with ave Morris from ‘Become a Champion’ boxing. Children also enjoyed a round of golf thanks to Harwood Golf Club as well as taking part in yoga and mindfulness sessions.
