Children’s Musical Theater San Jose plans to open a Creative Arts Center on May 4, putting its rehearsals, classes, workshops, offices and props, set and costume areas in one space for the first time, the 53-year-old company announced Thursday, April 15.
The new 25,000-square-foot facility at 1545 Parkmoor Ave., once a post office and more recently Savers thrift store, is being upgraded with a dance floor and lighting and sound systems. The project, which began construction in September, is funded with a $2.2 million capital campaign, of which the company has raised 96%.
