Farmington NH administrator Arthur Capello investigated by county attorney

FARMINGTON Town Administrator Arthur Capello remains on paid leave as authorities investigate sexual assault allegations made against him late last year. New Hampshire State Police recently completed their investigation into the allegations and have forwarded their findings to the Strafford County Attorney’s Office for review, according to Deputy County Attorney Emily Garod. Garod said she anticipates soon determining whether charges will be brought forward against Capello. As of Tuesday, Capello hasn’t been charged with any crimes. He is presumed innocent until proven guilty in court. “It came in for review for a sex assault investigation,” Garod said, declining to speak in detail about the allegations because of the stage of the investigation and because her office hasn’t had the case for long. “This one I think is trying to be fast-tracked because he is on leave, so they’re hoping to get an answer either way soon.”
