Kentwood seeks donations for second Little Free Pantry City of Kentwood and last updated 2021-01-11 09:25:34-05 KENTWOOD, Mich. — In honor of Martin Luther King Jr., the City of Kentwood is hosting a food drive to gather supplies needed to launch its second Little Free Pantry, which will be housed at the Kent District Library’s Kentwood Branch. Kentwood’s Little Free Pantry initiative began in 2017 as a Martin Luther King Jr. Day community service project to fill an immediate and local need, according to a news release Monday. Since then, the City of Kentwood has continued to host food drives to keep the pantry well-stocked.

William Kelly served as District Judge for the 62B District Court in Kentwood since the court s inception. Prior to being elected to the position in 1978 when the court was formed, his dad was the only other judge for the Kentwood area serving as a municipal judge. It s been my honor, it s been my privilege to serve here, District Court Judge William Kelly said.
