tonight the big story this week, second impeachment trial of donald j. trump. what began as a trump rally january 6th to air unfounded grievances quickly turned into a deadly attack on our nation s capitol. the first storming of the complex since the war of 1812. as the final cases from both sides are being polished the former president s political future is at stake but most importantly in the outcome of this trial the precedent is set for the future of our democracy. axios reporting a short time ago kevin mccarthy the highest ranking republican in the chamber recently traveled to florida to meet with trump. reportedly asked liz cheney to apologize for her vote to peach trump. the wisconsin congresswoman who voted in favor of the president more than 90% of the time still refuses. when you look at both his actions leading up to what happened on january 6th the fact that he was impeached in a bipartisan fashion, the fact that he lost the presidency, the fact that we lost the
