Hundreds flocked to downtown Hallowell and the Kennebec Riverbank on Saturday for Hallowell Pride 2024, hosted by Hallowell Pride Alliance, where they listened to music, danced, ate and socialized.
Construction in the past two years has yielded improved walkways, lighting, landscaping and intersections in the downtown area, where the streets will be open to two-way traffic for the first time since the 1950s.
