A special meeting of Morehead City Council was held Monday Evening.
The meeting conducted over zoom contained the annual audit report for the municipality: a matter addressed in January during a typical year. The firm Kelley Galloway Smith Goolsby conducted the audit for fiscal year 2020. Budget irregularities were noted due to various projects and operations being suspended due to the pandemic, but the city otherwise received a clean bill.
Also during the meeting, Councilperson Glen Teager spoke on behalf of the Morehead Utility Plant Board urging customers to be patient as crews conduct repairs following last week’s ice storm.
