Greystones man Eoin Kieran undertook a mammoth feat and completed a 42km marathon on November 8. He did this in aid of Greystones Cancer Support (GCS) and AWARE and made an outstanding €3,000 for his efforts. He paid a visit last week to GCS and presented a cheque for €1,500 to Kathryn Whelan. A huge thank you and well done to Eoin, said GCS chairperson Sonia Walsh. What a remarkable and resourceful young man. GCS greatly appreciates this fantastic effort on his behalf. And, of course, a huge thank you to the extremely generous supporters, she said. Eoin, otherwise known as Kegs, raised the funds at gofundme.com under Kegs Big Run . Everything raised has been split evenly between the two charities. The money raised will help them to continue providing such important support and services to those who need them. ....
