Two NYPD officers were forced to retire after the department discovered they lied about investigating cases, including domestic violence and drug complaints, department documents say.
“None of our clients want to sue the NYPD,” Attorney John Scola said of the retired Asian police captains he is representing. “But they’re doing it in order to drive change.”
The map-based application is the first of its kind in the nation, said Rep. Ritchie Torres (D-Bronx), who joined Police Commissioner Keechant Sewell in announcing the cell phone upgrade.
