The Jefferson City Lady Jays scored the first 16 points Tuesday night against the Sedalia Smith-Cotton Lady Tigers and never looked back, picking up a 69-29 Central Missouri Activities Conference victory at Fleming Fieldhouse. With a conference title as a goal for the season, starting out with a win in their first CMAC game is a good step for the Lady Jays.
N a slow-paced, low-scoring affair, the Hickman Kewpies got it done on offense when it mattered to grab the title of the Jefferson Bank Holiday Hoops Classic with a 41-30 victory Friday night against the Jefferson City Lady Jays at Capital City High School.
The win gives the Kewpies their third Classic title and first since 2014.
