Carlos Perez, 24, pleaded guilty on Monday in Cass County District Court to aggravated assault related to domestic violence, terrorizing and animal cruelty.
Terry Lee Kern initially denied knowing the woman but then said he "possibly" did, according to a criminal complaint. He claimed he accidentally elbowed the woman, the complaint said.
