facebook has already conceded to a lot of key issues. so, it will be interesting to see what really happens. the latest legal action comes one week after facebook settled a similar lawsuit from the aclu. according to hud, facebook and instagram makes it the second largest advertiser in the u.s. responsible for about 20% of all online advertising nationwide. according to the lawsuit, facebook offers advertisers hundreds of thousands of attributes to choose from when targeting an audience, including allowing them to exclude parents and members of certain nationalities and religions for example. because of the kind of technology we have which allows for more targeted advertising, sometimes, that can be discriminatory. facebook says last year they got rid of thousands of options, which could be misused. it says it supported the lawsuit, but that it will continue to work with civil rights groups, and experts about the issues brought up. maureen naylor, live in menlo park,
