Sophomore pacing filly Brave Chic held on bravely to notch her first career win on Saturday, Sept. 9 at Hiawatha Horse Park, and provided trainer Joseph Montour his first career training win in the process.
The All Bets Off filly Yoda Queen posted the faster win of the two $8,800 second-preliminary divisions for the Prospect Series for three-year-old pacing fillies at Hiawatha Horse Park on Saturday (July 1).
If you're up for a challenge, have I got the horse for you. Gino is a strapping gelded son of Bettors Delight and generally a nice horse to be around, both in the barn and on the track. But in the paddock at the racetrack, he still shows his immaturity as he is high strung and unpredictable. He is green and still learning to race. His legs are clean and tight, he is sound and still a maiden. Gino's lines speak for themselves - 9 consecutive cheques. He threw a shoe in the first quarter two starts ago and his blood test showed he was sick in the Mark Austin final. We cleaned him up and he re-qualified well at Sarnia on Saturday. There really is a talented horse in there if you can resolve his behavior in the paddock. Gino is OSS eligible and will race until sold.
