because we have had thunderstorms and torrential rain, which brought flash flooding earlier this morning in devon. those storms have moved away, but we are keeping an eye on this cloud and the storm is coming up from northern france, crossing the channel and heading into hampshire and sussex. those storms could push further into the south east of england towards the midlands later this evening and are pushing to all these heat. it could be quite an uncomfortable night for sleeping. we still have the potential for heavy rain with the storms moving northwards overnight across east anglia into northern england and eventually towards scotland. a lot of cloud in the story for tomorrow and we are going to find more showers breaking out widely. these could turn heavy and thundery, threatening further localised flooding. where it is a bit drier in the afternoon across eastern parts of england, it is still warm for the time of year. it is just not as hot as it has been of late. the we
