In the 35 years Sue and I have lived in Sandpoint, we have echoed the gratefulness of so many people for living in this beautiful part of America. Yet it’s so easy to take this beauty for granted, isn’t it. What we forget is how the forests and water we are surrounded by are both a magnificent, natural legacy of history, but also renewable resources we are responsible to nurture into the future.
Nova High School, a new school inspired by Waldorf education concepts, celebrated its first day ever on Monday.
Nova, meaning “new star,” was chosen to reflect the founders’ vision of offering a new form of education to the community’s youth.
The community is invited to learn (or re-learn) about the care of our natural environment at a special Geezer Forum being held today at the Pine Street Woods.
Guest speaker for this outdoor learning event, which begins at 2:30 p.m., will be Bill Love.
