He and his father, Kalolo Tangatailoa, alternate working at the Island Wood Carving Hawaii display. “I’ve been doing this 35 years,” Tangatailoa said. “I’m a fifth-generation woodcarver.” Tangatailoa said his craft has taken him around the country to work, create and learn from others.
