Positioned in the heart of the Jinhai Lake resort centered around an artificially created lake, JW Marriott Hotel Shanghai Fengxian has 265 guestrooms and suites. The architecture design of this project matches the water and greenery-filled views with a unique building design that emphasizes fluidity, harmony with nature, and design performance that drives user experience.
Marriott opens new milestone hotel in Shanghai
Marriott is opening a new hotel in Shanghai, the JW Marriott Hotel Shanghai Fengxian, which will be its 50th in the Shanghai region.
The new hotel is located on Hangzhou Bay in the city’s Fengxian seaside district, just an hour’s drive south of metropolitan Shanghai.
The hotel features conference facilities including a 1,800 sqm, naturally-lit meeting area. It also features a 900 sqm grand banquet hall, a smaller 600-square-meter hall and four multifunction rooms.
Designed by international design company PLD, the hotel is inspired by its natural surroundings, with its exterior imagined as the legendary bird Roc, from the fable of “Roc hopping into the sea”.

JW Marriott Hotel Shanghai Fengxian overlooks the nearby Jianhai Lake, a wetland that connects Huangpu River and the East Sea.
