Minnesota Department of Transportation (KNSI) – The Minnesota Department of Transportation has opened voting to name a snowplow in each of its eight districts. The call for names came out in December. The agency says they received 24,000 suggestions and have narrowed it down to 50. There are references to movies – especially “Star Wars” with C-3PSnow, Darth Blader, Snowbi Wan Kenobi, and Luke Snowwalker. “Toy Story” shows up on the list with Buzz Iceclear and a Johnny Depp favorite “Edward Blizzardhands.” There is also a nod to Judy Garland and the “Wizzard of Oz” with Snow Place Like Home and Blizzard of Oz. A TV show set in Minnesota also made the list with Mary Tyler More Snow. ....
