Court Fines Nigeria Police N800,000, Others N1Million Over Unlawful Arrest, Detention Of Land Developer, Adebambo

  Justice N. E. Maha of the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has ordered the Inspector General of the Nigeria Police Force, the Commissioner of Police for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja and the Divisional Police Officer of Trademore Police Station, Abuja to pay an Abuja land developer, Prince Adefarakan Adebambo, the sum of N800,000 as compensation for his unlawful arrest, detention and violation of his fundamental rights.

Nigerian Businessman, Ngornadi, Illegally Detained By Secret Police, DSS Since April 2021 For Allegedly Supporting IPOB Faces Death Threat, Suffers Skin Diseases, Others

A businessman, Emeka Richmond Ngornadi, who was arrested by the Department of State Services (DSS) in April 2021 over alleged comments on social media in support of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has been threatened to be killed by DSS operatives. SaharaReporters also learnt that Ngornadi suffers from ear problems, ulcer and skin diseases as a result of the torture and brutality he suffered at the hands of the DSS operatives and the Nigerian Army.
