REPRESENTATIVE Ivan A. Blanco, the House Republican leader, passed away Friday afternoon. He was 45.
Blanco attended a Developmental Disabilities Council meeting at the Aqua Resort Friday morning. Variety was told that  after lunchtime, the Precinct 3 lawmaker suddenly felt weak, and then became unresponsive. He was rushed to the Commonwealth Health Center where he was pronounced dead at past 1:30 p.m.
One of Blanco s colleagues in the House, Rep. Angel Demapan, described him as âbeloved  by everyone.â
âHis death is big loss to the  Commonwealth He was an honorable statesman, a very loving father and a very devoted husband.â
Demapan added, âI just ask that we keep his family and his soul in our prayers during this very difficult time.â

âIt is my sorrowful duty to announce officially the passing of the Honorable Michael Napu King Aldan, vice chairman of the 18th Tinian Municipal Council, yesterday, February 18, 2021.
âLt. Gov. Arnold I. Palacios and I, along with our families and the entire Commonwealth, join Mayor Edwin P. Aldan, the Tinian Leadership, and the people of Tinian in mourning his sudden and untimely passing.
âVice Chairman Aldan was a public servant in multiple capacities. In addition to his elected office as a member of the 18th Tinian Municipal Council, he bravely answered the call of duty to serve his community as a police officer for the Department of Public Safety. He has sincerely touched many hearts with his passion and truly had a lot more to give for the people of Tinian.
