saturday, july 7th. i m claudine wong. i m mike mibach. rosemary has a quick check of the forecast. good morning. we are transitions to a warmer weather pattern this weekend. we have patchy fog right along the coastline this morning and certain parts of the bay, it will burn off quickly. mostly sunny skies for the afternoon. numbers up over what we saw yesterday, and the extended forecast, warm to hot in some areas. i have those numbers coming up. violence in oakland overnight as police investigate three homicides in five hours. the latest killing happened at 24th avenue and east 24th street. at around 11:00 last night, officers received a call about a body inside an r.v. our camera watched as forensics teams went in and then placed markers on the street outside that r.v. police say evidence at the scene led them to classify the death as suspicious and they have opened up a homicide investigation. earlier in the night oakland police responded to two other deadly shoot

2.5 million people are not counted in this unemployment rate at all. they can work, but they have stopped looking for work. so they re not counted in the unemployment rate. so it s actually higher than 8.2%. also very key here is minorities. we have to look at what has happened to african-americans. their unemployment rate has gone up for the month of may. it s now nearly 14.5%. it is pretty much double unemployment for whites, hispanics, 11% unemployment. that s problematic. and this is all very political. looking at the big picture here, we were bleeding jobs at the end of the bush administration and the beginning of the obama administration. this is where you ll hear the president talk about jobs recovery. but the issue here is the last three months. april, may and june. we have seen just anemic jobs growth. this jobs report is key because we only have four more jobs reports before the election. so you re going to here back and forth from both the obama administration and
